The problem of the formation of basic competencies of future teachers of Basics of Health in the process of studying the profession-oriented disciplines in pedagogical higher educational institutions is investigated in the thesis.

Pedagogical conditions of basic competencies formation of future teachers of Basics of Health in the process of studying the profession-oriented disciplines.

It is proved that the process of studying the profession-oriented disciplines in the course of preparation of the future teachers of Basics of Health should be based upon the following principles: humanistic orientation, practical orientation of education, conscious perspectives, scientific content, visualization, integration of learning, interactivity, initiative, self regulation, individualization of teaching.

The criterea of basic competence formation of the future teachers in health care basics were developed and scientifically grounded/ the indicators of each criterea and levels were defined.

The integrated express course “Formation of Basic Competencies of Future Teachers of Basics of Health” is developed, the fundamental characteristics of which are the initiative, integration, interactivity.
