In the dissertation theoretical generalization and new solution of the problem of educating tolerance in future higher school teachers during their Master’s training are suggested. The content of the basic concepts of «tolerance», «tolerance of teacher of higher educational establishment» and «educating tolerance in future teacher of higher educational institution» is specified. The components, criteria, indicators and leveled characteristics of tolerance in future teacher are defined, a special course «Pedagogy of Tolerance in Higher Education» is developed, and the features of stimulating the future teacher’s tolerant behavior during Master’s courses are determined. The methodology of educating tolerance in Master’s student as a future teacher is grounded and experimentally tested; the necessary and sufficient conditions for successful implementation of the methodology in the practice of higher educational institutions are determined.
